Overview
Unmatched is a fast-paced, asymmetrical miniature dueling game that allows you to choose from an ever-growing roster of legendary heroes and villains from ancient mythology, classic literature, and blockbuster movies. This is a crossover like no other with many volumes, sets, and expansions that offer a wide variety of characters and playstyles. Unmatched Marvel: Deadpool Expansion brings the wise-cracking, ‘Merc with a Mouth’ to the Unmatched battlefield. This expansion is intended to be played with other Unmatched complete sets and cannot be played standalone.

Presentation
One way Unmatched stands apart from other games is the dedication to art. Deadpool’s miniature is well designed, and staying true to the concept of a crossover, his deck feels as if he were pulled directly from his comics and placed in an arena for battle. His deck is incredibly thematic. Not only does it feature special abilities and card titles that include an abundance of references that fans are sure to appreciate, but this entire set is themed around the idea that Deadpool was upset at Restoration Games for not including him, so he created his own deck. Every single card in the deck is pulled from another source. There are comic references, cards from an ordinary deck of playing cards, cards from other Unmatched heroes, and even cards from the game Candyland. Each card in his deck is unique and thrown together with tape, marker, and reckless abandon. Visually of course. The actual cards are good quality.

Final Thoughts
The Unmatched: Deadpool Expansion continues to expand the roster in new and unique ways. We find Deadpool‘s completely unpredictable playstyle very fitting to represent his mental instability. Additionally, the artwork, card references, and some card effects are appropriately meta. Deadpool is a very fun hero to play in Unmatched in 4+ player free-for-alls but may be frustratingly unpredictable when played 1v1 or competitively.
Unfortunately, the Deadpool Expansion is currently out of print and unavailable to purchase through retail. Unfortunately, there is no way to know if the license will ever be renewed. There are many people online selling this expansion for hundreds of dollars. Even though Deadpool is a fun and hilarious addition to the game, we do not recommend purchasing from these sellers.
